A conversion of an old Methodist chapel, this very individual project in SE London provides a group of artists’ studios grouped around a large gallery where regular exhibitions are held throughout the year (www.assemblypoint.xyz).
Together with a restaurant and a manager’s flat, the complex provides a creative hub in an area full of history and much favoured by the artistic community. The design makes full use of the high ceilings and there is a beautiful sense of light and space whilst retaining the workmanlike atmosphere of the original building.
